#MorningPrayer
Lord, give us
not just a belief
in the fact of your resurrection
but a trust in the reality of it,
a hope in the truth of it,
a joy in the meaning of it,
a life in the effect of it,
a role in the sharing of it,
a peace in the light of it
and your love in all of it.

This Good Friday is my first as a mother and Psalm 22 has struck me in a whole new light.

Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read ‘Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.’ Many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek. - Jn 19.19
